Portable exhibition fabric walls are lightweight, modular display panels made from durable fabric materials supported by aluminium or metal frames. These walls are used primarily to create customisable, visually appealing environments in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, retail spaces, and other temporary events. Their portability and ease of assembly make them ideal for businesses and organizations that require flexible and reusable display solutions.
We design and print in Ireland, and this results in quick delivery. We have various sizes and materials. Contact us with your requirements.
Portable Exhibition Fabric Walls
Portable exhibition fabric walls are lightweight, modular display systems built on aluminium frames and covered with custom-printed tension fabric. They give you a seamless, professional backdrop for trade shows, exhibitions and events, setting up in minutes without tools. We design and print them in-house at our Wicklow facility for fast turnaround and easy reorders.
Best For
Fabric display walls work across a wide range of exhibition spaces and event settings. At trade shows — the RDS, Convention Centre Dublin, regional expo halls — they create a branded backwall that draws attention across a busy floor. They also serve as media walls and photo backdrops at awards nights and product launches, where a crease-free printed graphic matters for photography.
Corporate showrooms use them as semi-permanent branding features you can swap when campaigns change. University open days, graduation week at Trinity or UCD, and retail promotions are all common use cases. Any exhibitor who needs a portable display stand that packs into a carry bag will appreciate how easily these move between multiple events without hiring a van.
Sizes and Materials
We offer straight and curved configurations across a range of standard widths and heights. Straight walls deliver bold edges and fit against shell-scheme partitions. Curved walls wrap around your stand space, hiding clutter and creating a more welcoming feel. For larger stands, modular linking lets you connect walls into L-shaped or U-shaped backwall runs using corner connectors.
The frame is lightweight aluminium tubing — sections push-fit together without tools. Over it sits a single-piece stretch fabric graphic (often called a “zipper wall” because a zip closure at the back pulls the fabric taut). Double-sided print options suit open aisle positions. The tension fabric is a knitted polyester with a smooth finish that reproduces colour accurately and resists creasing. We can supply fire-retardant fabric with certification for venues requiring compliance under Department of Housing fire safety guidance.
Artwork
We accept print-ready files in PDF, AI or high-resolution JPEG at 150 DPI minimum, CMYK colour, with 20 mm bleed and a 30 mm safe area for logos and text. If you do not have artwork ready, our in-house design team can create your fabric graphic or adapt existing brand assets. We send a digital proof before printing so you can check the layout and colour placement.
For backdrop design, keep headlines legible from three metres, use high-contrast brand colours, and leave the lower third simple if the wall doubles as a photo backdrop. Templates for each size are available on request.
Turnaround and Delivery in Ireland
Standard turnaround is three to five working days from artwork approval, with rush and next-day dispatch available for standard sizes. Dublin and the surrounding counties receive orders within one working day of dispatch. Nationwide deliveries to Cork, Galway, Limerick and elsewhere arrive within two working days via courier. We can also arrange direct delivery to your exhibition venue.
Replacement printed fabric graphics follow the same timeline — you keep the aluminium frame and order a new skin when your campaign changes. Because we handle graphic design, printing and finishing in-house, there are fewer handoff delays.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can one person set up a portable fabric exhibition wall?
Most fabric walls take five to fifteen minutes. Connect the aluminium frame sections by hand, slide the printed fabric sock over the frame, and zip it closed. Smaller walls are a one-person job; for backwalls over 3 m wide, a second pair of hands helps.
Can I buy a replacement fabric graphic without a new frame?
Yes. The frame is built for long-term reuse across multiple events. Order just the printed fabric skin for new campaigns, product launches or seasonal promotions — far more cost-effective than replacing the entire display system.
How should I clean and store the fabric walls between events?
Spot-clean marks with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For a full wash, use a gentle cycle at 30 °C and air-dry flat. Store the fabric loosely rolled in the carry bag provided, in a dry location. Keep frame sections together and labelled for quick setup.
Are portable fabric walls suitable for outdoor events in Ireland?
They are designed for indoor use. In sheltered settings with calm conditions, they can work, but Irish weather is unpredictable. For exposed outdoor sites, consider purpose-built outdoor displays such as teardrop banners or feather flags.
Do exhibition venues require fire-retardant certification?
Many Irish exhibition centres and hotels require display materials to meet fire safety standards. We offer fabric walls on fire-retardant material with certification documentation. Check with your venue safety officer before ordering and we can advise on the right specification.
